An Old Soul

I've always felt as though I was born in the wrong era. I should have been dancing the Charleston in little heels and a knee length dress, with my hair curled, red lipstick and talking to people rather than looking at my phone screen. I've always preferred old musicals and jazz rather than the top hits. Black and white movies instead of reality TV. The sound of records really are better than CDs. Being outside appeals to me so much more than sitting on the couch. Reading a book is what I prefer to watching YouTube or being on the computer.
I believe in charm, modesty, class, and manners. A lot of which have sadly and drastically diminished throughout the generations. I could go into a rant about how technology and media has ruined everything. But I want this blog to be a happy and positive place :)
And there is no time that I feel happier than doing one of the afore mentioned activities. To relax before bed tonight, I decided to play my delightful My Fair Lady record :) .. it's one of my favourite musicals. And a record provides such a beautiful and warm sound that has been lost in CDs and downloads.
I listened to one of my most favourite songs, 'on the street where you live'. It's such a beautifully sweet song. One can't help but smile when listening to it. I hope to find a love like this one day :)
I recorded (pun intended) a snippet for you to enjoy, it's been uploaded to my Instagram @tamikalouiseb (http://instagram.com/tamikalouiseb) ... I hope you find the time to sit and enjoy such a lovely sound! People just don't have voices like this anymore!! Enjoy :)
